The Work of Joel Warren

I’ve finally gotten around to redesigning my website. My aim was to create a website that I can work on and manipulate as I go along rather than have something that is set in stone. As a web designer I think my site should be in a constant redesign, but maybe not in this way.

Although I mainly work in wordpress, I chose to integrate this blog into tumblr because of 2 things:

1. I found tumblr very motivating in the past because of the community and ease of use
2. I like the social integration

I know the site is pretty bare but this is only the first step, there is still a lot of stuff that I’ve got in my mind that may or not make it out into reality.

edit: what do you use to update your tumblr on your iPad?

I launched HalloweenAus this afternoon. It’s been awhile in the process and has been redesigned twice before released but I’m happy with it (for now).

I might attempt to paint this digitally, but I’ve never been too good at that.

Added a couple more items to my portfolio

I came across a document of goals I set for last year recently. It was kind of interesting how I managed to complete a majority of them without even remembering I had a list.

With the success of last years list I decided to write another for this year:

1. Continue to treat my girlfriend well
2. Manage my finance and save
3. Focus on excelling at my new job
4. Sketch more often
5. Continue trying new and different activities with my girlfriend
6. Compete in another skimboarding competition
7. Plan to visit friends abroad
8. Research and practice new social media business strategies
9. Learn to stand up paddleboard
10. Be more proactive in my actions and in conversation
